A holding company for the labels people wear

We buy, buildand grow labels.

Bending Seams owns and operates apparel labels, merch businesses, print shops and the design tools behind them. We invest as active partners: our engineers, agents and production network work inside each company from day one, and the label keeps its name.

About us

Operators, not a fund.

We started a brand from a first sample and took it past $300 million in sales. Today we run the marketing, production and technology behind brands that have sold more than $1 billion combined. That machine is what we put behind every company in the portfolio.

Same team, same playbook: build the product, own the numbers, automate the boring parts, and keep the label's name on the door.

A label people already wear. A merch business that sells out. An artist's print shop. A print-on-demand operation that needs a bigger machine behind it. Run by founders who want it to grow past what they can do alone.

We put tech in the stitch.

Apparel, merch, art and the print-on-demand machinery underneath still run on sample rounds, spreadsheets and guesswork. We bring the technology: AI design and mockup tooling, automated production, software agents that run the boring parts, and the data to know what to make before you make it.

We invest, but not as a passive cheque. Every deal is an active partnership. Our engineers, agents and print partners go to work inside the label from day one. The label keeps its name, its cut and its crowd. We take the operating load. Inspired, unapologetically, by Bending Spoons and its “acquire, then make it excellent” discipline. Our lane is narrower and more physical. Our bar is not.

Six rules

  1. 01

    The garment is the ad.

We'd rather ship a piece people photograph than buy an ad for a piece they forget.

  2. 02

    Real fabric, real limits.

Ink bleeds, cotton shrinks, print beds have edges. Our software knows that before the order is placed, so the product arrives as designed.

  3. 03

    Seconds, not weeks.

Idea to preview in seconds. Preview to doorstep in days. Small runs, no dead stock.

  4. 04

    Own it end to end.

Design software, production partners, fulfilment and the data in between. Fewer hand-offs, fewer excuses.

  5. 05

    One engine, many labels.

Shared rendering, shared print and garment partners, shared agents. Each label keeps its face. The machinery underneath is common.

  6. 06

    Excellent or not at all.

If we can't make a label the best of its kind, we shouldn't own it.
